Introducing the active extension USB 2.0 cable
(instead of the the cheap passive USB cables).
It is an active device with
built-in signal repeater. The USB signals going in and out of the extension
cable are buffered to assure signal quality and the meeting of the USB's
electrical and timing specs.
One of the biggest obstacles encountered in
planning a wire run is the signal limitation of USB devices.
Using passive cables for
the purpose of extension will result in signal errors and is not recommended.
With a maximum guaranteed length of 16 feet,
very few USB runs are successful without the use of ACTIVE extension
cables.
These are M/F extension cables which feature a
booster-box on the end, and when strung together, can achieve a new maximum of
